Final Report and Recommendations of the UCLA Data Governance Task Force
This report provides recommendations to UCLA leadership regarding how institutional governance of data about UCLA faculty, students, and staff should be structured and operated for UCLA, including: Initial operating principles that will guide UCLA when considering how data about members of its community should be used, a governance structure that ensures expectations for ethical and appropriate use of data about UCLA faculty, students, and staff are met, in conjunction with UCLA’ s obligations for compliance and data stewardship, and operational mechanisms by which the governance structure works with data stewards; gives voice to faculty, students, and staff; and identifies and addresses concerns, conflicts, and opportunities.
