Alexis Shore is a Policy Consultant at the Future of Privacy Forum and a current Ph.D. student in Emerging Media Studies at Boston University. Beyond working on student privacy at FPF, her research focuses on understanding the chilling effects of surveillance with a particular focus on facial recognition technology and data sharing with law enforcement. Through the lens of media psychology and behavioral economics, Alexis also researches designing privacy-enhancing technology. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., she received her Master’s in Emerging Media Studies from Boston University and Bachelor’s degree in Communication at Cornell University.
