FERPA 201: Data Sharing Under FERPA

This 30-minute course examines in greater depth and detail some of the concepts introduced to you in PTAC’s “FERPA 101” course. It provides an overview of the provisions under FERPA that relate to protecting the privacy of education data when data sharing. The course is intended to help clarify how educational agencies may share data under FERPA regulations while protecting the privacy and confidentiality of their education records. At the end of the course material, you’ll take a quiz that presents hypothetical situations for you to analyze. Respond correctly to move through the quiz and earn a Certificate of Completion.
