Dr. Carrie Klein is a Senior Fellow and higher education lead on the Future of Privacy Forum’s Youth and Education team. Her work and experience bridge higher education, big data, and law. Prior to FPF, Carrie worked on a National Science Foundation grant at George Mason University (Mason) focused on the use of big data in higher education and as a strategic planning project manager in Mason’s office of the president. She was also the lead for the Federal Trade Commission’s honors paralegal program, where she worked on antitrust cases. She has presented and published numerous pieces on higher education’s use of data, higher education privacy policies, and equity in higher education. Carrie is a graduate of George Mason University and The University of Arizona.
